Editing Pro Tools audio in SpectraLayers Pro

In Pro Tools, choose AudioSuite › Other › SpectraLayers Bridge: Edit to edit audio in SpectraLayers Pro and then reimport the audio back to your Pro Tools project.

  1. In Pro Tools, select the audio you want to edit. It can be a full clip, a time range within a clip, or multiple clips at once.
  2. Choose AudioSuite › Other › SpectraLayers Bridge: Edit. The AudioSuite dialog is displayed.

  3. Click Edit at the bottom of the AudioSuite dialog to edit the selected audio as new tabs in SpectraLayers Pro.

    In some cases, Pro Tools takes control of the system’s audio hardware and prevents SpectraLayers Pro from playing audio while Pro Tools is running. In these cases, Click the bridge Preview button in the Pro Tools dialog to activate the SpectraLayers Pro Bridge in Pro Tools and SpectraLayers Pro. The SpectraLayers Pro Bridge will allow SpectraLayers Pro to play audio through Pro Tools.

  4. Edit your audio as needed.
  5. When you’re done editing, click File › Update to send the edited audio back to Pro Tools.
  6. In Pro Tools, click Import Back at the bottom of the AudioSuite dialog. The edited audio is imported to your Pro Tools project.

You can batch process project tabs in SpectraLayers Pro using Batch Processing.

[Note] Note

Make sure your Pro Tools version is fully compatible with your system. In some cases, the AudioSuite Bridge plugin may trigger an error if the Pro Tools version is not fully compatible with the OS. Try an older Pro Tools version in such cases.
